When I read Stephanie & Alejandro’s wedding description via email, I remember saying “This is going to be awesome!”. I had already closed my bookings for summer, but being the photography enthusiast I am, I was excited with the originality of a boxing themed wedding. After meeting Stephanie over coffee when she made a quick visit to PR a few months before, I immediately knew I had made the right decision to work with them. The first week of July I made my way to their gorgeous location – Puerto Hermina, Quebradillas. What a perfect beach for a wedding! From Stephanie’s entrance to AC/DC music wearing a robe signed by Miguel Cotto and professional boxing referee Tony Weeks performing the ceremony, to the couple dancing under the sun…yes, I was right the wedding was awesome! Many flew from different countries to join them in a big party at the beach (and snapped some shots at our Photobooth – check out their fun album). After “cutting the cake” and giving cute red and blue cupcakes away, we headed to Guajataca for a Trash The Dress Session, featured in our next blog post (click here). This “boxing boda” as everyone called it, has definetly been the most original wedding I’ve enjoyed shooting!
